Saturday Home Selling Tip

I get asked a lot, “what do I need to do to get my home ready to sell/show/market?”

I’ll share my best tip with you… kitchens and baths sell homes.  Those are the top two most expensive home renovations.  If you can update your kitchen or bath or both, you’ll do well when it comes to selling your home.

15dc9a40d7b16badf89d1d6e1d5d450eBuyer’s will pay for convenience; they don’t want to feel like they are paying top dollar for a home that they’ll have to drop more money into after purchase, to update kitchen and bath(s).    If you’ve got the time and/or money, two of the best investments you can make are with your kitchen and bath.

And it doesn’t {always} need to be a major remodel!   Some simple fixes are changing out the brass or outdated hardware and fixtures.  A simple framed mirror above a bathroom sink with new light fixtures and faucet can make a world of difference.

If you want to get the most out of your biggest investment when it comes time to sell, take the time and put a little love (and maybe TLC) into any (what may be perceived as) outdated items.  It will make a huge impact.

As always…
