On the eve of another election and with only 8 weeks left in the year (!) let’s look at what the market has done this year in the greater Ithaca area.
Currently there are 528 residential properties listed for sale in the Ithaca Board of REALTORS MLS. The average listed price is $270,800. This includes lake front property which is skewing the average high. The median listed price is $209,000.
YTD there are 861 residential properties that have sold via the mls.

There are currently 119 properties under contract/sale pending. If all close within the calendar year, there will be a total of980 residential properties sold for the year. Down from last year but on par for 2014.
