We are more than half way through the year, the summer real estate market is winding down, and another school year is about to begin!

For today’s Monday morning market update, I took at a look at the entire Ithaca Board of REALTORs MLS sold statistics from Jan 1 – Aug 29 over the last 5 years.    What I found was not surprising; the Ithaca area real estate market is a solid and steadily improving market. Real Estate in the greater Ithaca area is a safe long term investment.

The average sold price has increased slightly over the last 5 years and inventory has receded a bit.   The following stats do NOT include lake front properties.
