We’ve reached the halfway mark and there are only 6 months left in the year! The first half of 2015 proved to be an active one for Trumansburg area real estate. This is good news for Tburg homeowners; if you’ve maintained or improved your property then you will see a gradual increase in your return on your investment when it comes time to sell. Below are the SOLD stats for residential properties in both the Village of Trumansburg and the greater area served by the Trumansburg School District (which encompasses three counties).
All stats are from Jan 1 – June 29 – a year to year comparison. (non lake front residential properties only)
Also, the average days on market (DOM) from 2015 to 2014 has gone down. For the first half of 2015, the average days on market was 98. For the first half of 2014 the average days on market was 116 days.
*update – 2015 Sold Jan 1 – June 29 should read 5 units sold with the average selling price remaining the same ($246,400).
Trumansburg is enjoying a healthy first half of 2015 in comparison to years past. Interesting to note that 2010 was the year of the first time home buyer tax credit of $8000 and that led to a spike in market activity. Overall, Trumansburg in enjoying a healthy real estate market.
