2011 is coming to a close… lets take a look at how the Village of Trumansburg residential real estate market fared in 2011.
20 residential properties sold YTD in 2011; compared to 2010 where we saw 24 residential properties sell within the Village boundaries. I’m not a huge fan of comparing 2010 stats to 2011 as 2010 was an anomaly year with the first time home buyer tax credit. More higher priced homes sold in 2010 as compared to 2011, however, looking at the list to sale price ratios, we can see that there is no real decline in value; could be attributed to a demand for lower priced homes in 2011 than 2010.
I think 2012 will be an interesting year for real estate – a year to keep your eye on if you are in the market for real estate.
