2010 Year End Trumansburg NY Real Estate Market report…

As a village resident, I’m often asked how the local real estate market is doing…

In 2010 the village saw 24 residential properties sell. The average selling price was $225,430 and the average days on market was 138.

Compared to 2009 where 10 properties sold with an average selling price of $191,100 and the average days on market was 103.

For the entire Trumansburg area School District market (not just the village) 63 residential properties sold in 2010 with an average selling price of $188,350 and an average of 131 days on market.

Compared to 2009 where 36 residences sold with an average sale price of 201,500 and an average 124 days on market.  (More properties sold in 2010 bringing the average sale price down).

The 1st time home buyer tax credit gave the market in 2010 a healthy push. However, if our area continues to see low unemployment and higher consumer confidence then 2011 will look promising for real estate.
